Now then guys

This is my 1st post really since owning my tavia vRS (October 03) but I want to pick your brains if I may.

Mine is a 01Y (which I luv to bits) but Im fancing chopping it in for a new model. Well a certain garage in Sedgefield rang this morning saying that they have a car right up my alley (apparently).

Its a 51 plate, black, 230bhp with 25k on the clock for 11k

Well my question is, does anyone know who this used to belong too and what is the car like in general (it got traded for an Estate if that helps)

A mate of a mate has test drove this and his words where "Its VERY tired", so was he telling the truth or was it just having an off day.

As I dont want to trade my lovely motor for a tired one !

Thanks for your help guys

Oh and the garage has upgraded the wheels to 18"s now too

just get yours remapped at Jabbaport

If you're happy with your car then keep it. Just get it chipped. It'll be out of warrenty soon so what's to lose?

Thats exactly what I'm gonna do as just got back from test driving it

and I wasnt happy with the way the car handled at all on 18"s as it

was very bouncy and all over the place (didnt feel as sturdy as standard)

also seemed to take ages for the power band to kick in.

They also wanted my car and

To answer some of your questions:

1. It was MY car and I traded it into SMC recently for a vRS Estate.

2. IIRC the mileage was about 22.k

3. The car has been re-mapped at Jabba. 228 bhp / 330 Nm.

4. I don't understand what "very tired" means.

5. The 18's must have been put on by the garage.

6. The exhaust is a custom Powerflow cat-back system.

Not wanting to speak out of turn but IMHO I'd need convincing to trade-in a car for another that's only a couple of months newer. :)

"Very tired"?

Sorry, but your mate hasn't got a clue. I've seen Jimmy's car on the road and it's as quick as mine ;)

Believe me it ain't tired, maybe your mate is trying to pull a fast one.

Personally, i'd take the

My pleasure :D

I'm sure that a very modern car and engine with 'only' 25k on the clock would be very difficult to make 'tired' after only 25k !! I'd better get ready to get rid of mine by the end of the year then, as mine is already 6 months old with nearly 13k !!!

Andy

Ask for Tavias mileage on his vRS before he sold it, I'm sure it was 140k and still going well !!
