standard clutch (Vrs)

Featured Replies

Hi just wondering can the standard clutch on the vrs handle the extra power a tuning box gives such as a Tunit or a Dragon.

Thanks

I had a dragon box for 6 months on full power with no problems & i've not heard of anyone on hear having any problems!!

Depends how you drive. The standard clutch can be easily destroyed with standard power if you abuse it :D

the general advice to avoid this, is not to use full throttle below 2- 2.5 k........ (revs) then you avoid that big torque spike... its torque that kills clutches and gearboxes....

agreed, had re-map on my vrs for a year and no issues with standard clutch. If you rag your car it will die more quickly...

Max torque is around 1.9k ish so just drop a cog if you want to nail

310 lb/ft has been going through mine for some 51k miles now with no issues as such. Did have a bit of clutch slip as first but thats gone now.

Like Chris said I've seen members on here with standard fabia's kill the clutch.

Like any car look after it and it will return the favour!
