[security Access - 16]

Enter 40168, to enable the basic setting.

Group 060

[Go!]

Activate the Basic Setting.

[ON/OFF/Next]

After a successful basic setting, field 2 should say "OK".

At this stage i get " error group 060 not available" written in red through the four boxes.

Did you do the coding 2/security access before and entered the group number in basic settings and NOT measuring blocks?

yes i followed the instructions that stu gave me which now look the same as the ones on your site... as stu is away i cant keep ringing him up as its not fair on him. all this is because the maxidot failed when installed this morning. btw i have a micro-can and running on version 710

The group for coding G201 is 066 not 060 according to the instructions.

these were my instructions on what needed to be done after the maxidots were fitted this morning...

Sensor for Steering Angle (G85)

Prerequisites:

Start the vehicle.

Turn the steering wheel one turn to the right and one turn to the left.

Drive in a short distance straight line on a level surface at a speed not higher than

20 km/h.

If the steering wheel is straight during the test drive then stop the vehicle with the

wheels pointed straight.

Ensure that the steering wheel is not moved again.

Keep the engine running and do not switch off the ignition.

To make sure the basic setting was succesful, check the sensor again.

but everytime i tried to do the on/off button bit that was when i has the problems.

Fordfan seems to be correct. The procedure you need to use for the brake pressure sensor G201 uses group 066 - at least the updated info Sebastian posted would indicate that that is the case. Check the Ross-Tech Wiki again.

There wouldn't have been any need to change any long or short coding so if you have then you need to change it back.

I guess we should start all over again...

...please post a fully Auto-Scan so we can see what exactly is up to the car currently and what is installed.

that is the screen shot of what im discribing above when i clicked the on/off/wotsit button as per instructions.

Paul was supposed to have had a replacement DashPod fitted on Saturday and thus requires the basic settings carried out on the car. They didn't get the dashpod working.

I've done it several times using the guide on the Wiki but it does often take a couple of attempts.
