Door unlocking problems

Featured Replies

My mum is having a problem with her Fabia.

Sometimes when she goes to unlock the door (with the buttons) nothing unlocks (she's tried new batteries). She then uses the key, but only the driver door unlocks all the other doors remained locked and you are unable to unlock them even from inside the car.

Along with this when she opens the door the small courtesy light on the door trim flashes on and off repeatedly.

It's been to a garage and they run diagnostics, but it's come back as "fault-free". Obviously this is a pain as it means that she can't take any passengers in her car, unless they are willing to climb over from the drivers seat, and besides which it is dangerous if there were an accident.

Just not having any luck with Skoda at the mo, my Octavia is back to the garage again this week for another unfathomable fault that doesn't exist in the diagnostics!
