Brought a Black 2002 vRS yesterday, well pleased. Its done 40K miles and I noticed from the forums that this is a good time for a cambelt and water pump change, last service was 31K.

I'm around the Colchester (Essex) area if anyone knows of a good skoda dealer as this car has full skoda history.

As far as I can see the car is all good, I need to get the bottom grills repainted as they have become flaky. I dont know whether to get the grills done in black or silver or if there are any alternatives that are awesome.

I got the car with a groovy number plate too T 20 VRS which being a turbo 20valve vRS was funky.

Any directions or info for a new owner would be much appreciated.

I used to see that car with that reg around the Harlow area quite a bit, used to flash but never a reply.

I actually brought the car from around the Slough area, If another vRS owner flashed me definately get a reply.

will probably drive past each other sooner or later then as i live in colchester too ( probably see the wife driving it more than me though) good to have another one in the area
