Hi all im a new member who owns a 1.9tdi on an S plate.

I'm experiencing weird electrical activity resulting in a fail to start or even turn over. My first thought was battery but i had no joy trying to jump it. When i turn the ignition my dash lights up as normal, when i turn the key to start the displays and needles go haywire and i get lots of strange clicks from the relay plate. :confused: If i turn the lights on and then turn the ignition i get nothing( relay????).

Ive recently changed the control unit in order to sort out the wipers the new unit had more connectors than the old, is that normal?

Its driving me mad if anyone can offer any advice i would be very grateful.
