Fitted my aero wipers

Featured Replies

Fitted my new bosch aero wipers today from WIPERBLADES.CO.UK : The UK's Premier Online Store (they gave me a very good service - emails to say the order was accepted, it's being processed and they've been shipped out!!!) About 5 minutes after I fitted them the clouds opened up and the rain came (think it's the first time I've wished for rain for a long long time!)

I must admit, the aero's are amazing, was cruising along the motorway this afternoon on route to ikea and they didn't smear or flap or make a noise at all, they worked brilliantly :D

Just wished I'd got them so much sooner, oh well, bring on the rainy winter :D

If you haven't got them already, go and order some now!!

True, true, but now it's dark!!

fitted some other day and did glass with rain ex - great combination so much better

Are we talking about the Aerovantage or the Aerotwin range here?

Ooops, soz just noticed the Aerovantage is made by champion.

Nice one. They DO make a big difference. Particularly the nearside one

Hi, are these the one's that you ordered?

Aerotwin Retrofit FLAT WIPER BLADE UPGRADE TWIN PACK 530mm & 475mm

Thanks

I hadn't realized that Bosch were now offering retro fit aeros. I recently made the mistake of buying some cheap unbranded retro fits off ebay for about £14 all in. They were sold as suitable fo all Fabias but the n/s blade was 25mm too long. I did manage to shorten it - no mean feet as the spring steel inserts are clamped in compression to provide a spring to the blade. They worked great for the first few days but are now scraping and juddering as bad as the 2 year old Boschs I replaced:mad:.

If I'd known Bosch now offered these I'd have happily stumped up the extra cash for a decent product.

The moral as ever is you get what you pay for!

Bosch part no AR533S for a pair for fabia

How true, mate. Put cheap unbranded "aero" wipers on SWMBO's Octavia last winter, they didn't last long. Since then we changed to Bosch and it's really a difference.

A month ago I fitted Trico's "aero style" blades on my Felicia since they were better priced when compared to Bosch's. They work fine, nice and silent. Remains to see how long they last, though...

Yep, that's the puppy!

They're great, can't for more rain, just need some new front tyres now

These are ace. I've had mine a couple of months now, and they're a great improvement. Reduces motorway noise massively also.

get some pics posted,i might go against my moral code of a pound spent on anything other than performance is a pound wasted, and get a set:rofl:

Here's a couple of pics of ours...... They are Bosch one's but are the Renault one's used on the Scenic..... Same as the one's you have bought but the wiper sizes are slightly different.... Drivers side slightly bigger passenger side slightly smaller.

I stuck with these as i prefer the larger drivers side wiper.... And believe it or not this set are actually cheaper to get from the Renault dealer than they are from Wiperblades.co.uk..... Still a couple of quid more than the Fabia ones though.

Cheers

Is it quite easy to fit these onto the existing arm?

And can you get these from halfords?

David

They really easy to fit, easier than normal blades. They just slide into place and then a clasp clicks to secure them.

Thanks mate, What sort of price would I pay for the pair, as I tried to purchase these sort of wipers from Ford for my focus and were quoted about £50 for the pair!

David i can get them from Dingbro for you for just over £20 if you'd like

I've got some of these. They are very good. The only grip I have with them is that they are slightly shorter than the OEM ones and leave a small triangle at the bottom of the screen between the blades.

Apart form that they are spot on.

That would be great mate, that can come off next month's pay cheque.

PM me details on when you want to meet up for the cash etc.

David

I have these on the Roomy. I have to say I am not impressed, they are no better apart from a little less noise that standard wipers, definately not worth £30 converting them, I suppose they look better if you like that type of thing but they are no more functional.

I had these fitted to the Fabia and I miss them like I would a finger, they were that good. You can forget using your Rain-ex, Aquapel or any other gunk, these beauties do it all on a permenant basis and they do it for a lot longer, during the night the rain could be lashing down and you wouldn't even need to switch the wipers on. The set I had on the VRS were on it for nearly 40k and they were still perfect.

Well worth the £50 a set  I am just gutted they don't do "aero" versions to fit the Roomy. I wonder if I can convert them to standard wipers......

I bought mine from this seller in Germany, think they cost me about €35 altogether (I'm from Rep of Ireland and wiperblades.co.uk don't ship here)

I'm confused, if you don't need Rain-X etc or turn on your wipers, how exactly does the rain wipe away?

It's ok mate I'm getting these from SM56.

Did you look at the link?

PIAA WIPERS

Ok, this is all sales blurb really but they really do work like this. They coat the window in a silicon coating and keep coating it for the life of the wiper.
