Seat covers for heated seats

Featured Replies

Hi all. Just wondering if aftermarket seat covers (e.g. from Halfords) are suitable to fit Fabia Elegance models with heated seats?

I personally don't see why not but it's up to you to decide.

The seats shouldn't get hot enough to cause damage to seat covers (unless they develop a fault in which case they can cause damage anyway) and the heated seat elements have built in thermisters specifically designed to ensure that overheating doesn't occur.

I wouldn't vouch for the seat heating effectiveness with covers on & I doubt very much that any warranty claims relating to faulty heated seats would be honoured though !

Thanks for the advice. Think I'll opt for warmth as opposed to a potentially grubby seat! :redhot: Not worth buying the set if I'll only use the rear one....
