After trying unsuccessfully unfortunatly to get the APR six hour trial at Bruntingthorope on Saturday, I was told that there were a load of fault codes in the ECU relating to the DV, & when the symptoms were explained I had been experiencing some of them. :(

So now the choice :confused: , do I get dealer to just fit a new OEM for me or is a nice shinny one eg forge woth the extra cash of the OEM & is it worth me trying to fit my self( I am reasonably mechanically minded - can do a shock, spring, pad & disk change without to much hassel) & If it makes any differnce I will probably be getting some sort of remap/boost controller fitted in the not to far off future

Any advice would be much appreciated

DV is dead easy, takes about 5-10 minutes to do, just make sure you have some new jubilee clips.

As to whether it's worth it, dunno. Some say yes some say no, it's a matter of personal choice.

Fitting's a doddle btw, just make sure you have the jubilee clips

You should of said.

I had a standard DV in my toolbox and a new forge and Hyperboost in my boot and jubilee clips.

If you're in the Aylesbury area then you're most welcome to my OEM DV to replace it.

I'll second and third that. My spare OEM was also with me just in case it was needed at Jabba today. Hey Ho.

ahh well, next time I'll shout about it a bit more - thanks to all the kind offers of OEM's but had a look last night & I am confident I can refit one so will get myself a metal version I think, dose the general oppion seem to be that forge would be the best option?

prone to faliure and made of plastic.

get a decent aftermarket one.... they sound much better
