'Ello. Felicia problem ahead.

Featured Replies

Popping my head in the door coz I just joined. *Waves*

Reason for joining? I have a dead 96 Felicia 1.3 glxi at the bottom of my road & was looking for any clues as to the problem. No spark. So it's either a sensor, the EMU or the coil - the black lead to the coil has power... I'll go test the green one when the engine's turned over. (I'm an old school mechanic, points & carbs).

I've also seen mention of imobilisers.

I knew a Haynes would have come in useful sometime.

Any more clues will be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Tone.

Hi and welcome

I understand your frustration - it was in October last year, when the Missus got an Octavia, that I first had to learn about fuel injection. Since then I've got a Felicia for myself. As long as everything works, new technology is beautiful but when not I long for points and carbs and no f***ing electric sensors.

Couple of years ago I was totally baffled. Our old Audi just went dead when releasing the accelerator, no idling but otherwise running perfectly. A loose connection on the carb! Carbs aren't electric! (or shouldn't be).

Therefore I have absolutely no idea on how to solve your problem, but if you don't get a reply here, repost in the Felicia section. A lot of very knowledgable people on this forum!

I hope someone comes along and helps you with this soon.

Welcome :)

Thank you all very much :) I've pretty much come to the conclusion that it's the Hall Sender & I'll be able to purchase either a scrappy one (I need a couple of bits like fog-lamp lens & wheel trim too) or a new one from Farmers Skoda in Notts TOMORROWWW!!!

Legs are no fun
