Clicking noise inside cabin when fan is on...

Featured Replies

Every day I discover a new creak from somewhere in the dash (seems to have gotten worse with the cold weather), however, this new one is driving me nuts! When I put the fan on the first setting, a clicking noise starts that sounds like it is coming from somewhere under the glovebox... it starts off slow and then gets faster as the fan builds up speed... sounds like a leaf or something has gotten trapped somewhere and the fan is rubbing on it as it turns... But where the hell could it be?! On higher fan settings it is inaudible as the noise from the fan seems to mask it... any ideas?!

Sounds like some leaves in your pollen filter, its behind the glove box, you get access by looking right under the passengers footwell. and unclipping the panel, al drops out, including the ****ty stuff so put some newspaper down first

Thanks a lot man - that sounds like it could be the culprit!

I had this too, turned out to be a leaf stem ticking on the fan, bloody irritating.

Try taking out the glove box too and putting the fan onto recirculate then you can get your hand inside the fan itself and drag the rubbish out.

TURN THE FAN OFF FIRST THOUGH ;)

I might try this as mine clicks slightly
