Last night, I was driving along in a Scout with Sat Nav, when SWMBO turned one of the interior lights on. I noticed that the screen on the nav system got brighter, and about 3 seconds after the light was turned off, the screen dimmed back to it's original setting.

Has anyone else noticed this? Has anyone sussed out where the sensor is? It's not the one in the rear view mirror!

It's just above the left control kn0b, it's on the opposite side to the anti theft LED that blinks on it.

No problem.

I found that out when some paperwork fell off the dash and obstructed the sensor making the screen go as dark as anything.

The maxidot behaves in the same way too.
