In my excitement to let you know about 2008, I missed Sun 2 Dec 2007 off.

So that's this Sunday 2 Dec.

A local mystery tour setting off from The Old Farmhouse pub (end of M181 by SUFC) at 10am.

I'm currently in snowy DDR so Youngsyd or Daveyvrs will be thinking of a suitable route.

cheers ... Darren

Are we really that scary .... ?

Are we really that scary .... ?

I'll be the first to reply and say no. Unfortunately likely to be busy on this day but might do the Yorkshire Sculpture park, or Brimham Rocks as that's probably more my sort of thing anyway.

Rigsby kindly gave me a S K O D A S sticker, not sure if that makes me a "paid up" member or not  Seems there's no mention of the klub other than on forums. I did live in Scunthorpe when I was 5 anyway and went to Messingham Primary if that counts - but been in Leeds a while.

Hopefully there'll be someone attending this event

:) S.K.O.D.A.S. is one of the regional sections of the National Skoda Owners' Club G.B. It was started as a seperate club and joined with the National Club later. Fantastic group of very active, fun loving and enthusiastic members.

:rolleyes:They can be a little scary though, bet you daren't attend an event!

;)PROVE ME WRONG!:D

Which one of us is scary, then Dave?

;) You!! :D

:D

Do I really want to attend any events...

Well to celebrate the diesel beasts 9th birthday today.

It had a rare visit from a sponge & hot water,

in anticipation of tomorrow's trip out ....

I was surprised to discover some green paint under the muck!

:rolleyes:I don't believe you actually washed it:P....prove it with some pics of the day! :D

Well, I didn't take any pix .... as no-one else turned up.

(Had some fonecalls & texts from the ill people, although I'll be expecting signed sick notes at the next meet!)

I did toy with doing some donuts & handbrake turns in the empty pub car park. But I thought it might adversely effect my fuel economy, and secondly I've no real clue how they're done!

So anyway, I best start plugging the next trip on Sun 6 April, to the James Herriot Centre at Thirsk.

Actually I've done a timing run this evening after work from Ferrybridge to Brimham Rocks took 1h14mins staying within all posted limits (of course) & with some traffic through Knaresborough. Took the old A1 now the A162 & A63 & some unclassified bits through Micklefield although some speed bumps there, so timings not too bad.

From Burnt Yates (forgot to reset the counter at Brimham! Doh!) to Doncaster using the new A1 but cruising at 56mph, was also 1h14mins, rather pleased to have 66mpg on the dash too!!

Well, it was just a tad wet yesterday.

Still no problems getting a parking space

& no queue for the ice cream kiosk either.

Cheers to Lee & his mates for popping over from York

He saw his 1st Skoda Rapid yesterday &

it was the same age as him!!

That suddenly makes me feel old!
