Featured Replies

Dear Technical people of all knowledge (stu)

Just wondering if this can got using vagcom?

And if so, how?

Also is there an easier way to obtain the 4 digit SKC code without going to the dealer with the chassis number and 17 digit immobilser code. :D

I used to have VAG tacho software but this wouldnt read the new seed key immobilisers from 2005 onwards

cheers in advance

The Immo code is the number beginning with SKZ that you'll find when you look in VAG-COM.

You should only be able to get the SKC from a dealer, and you may struggle there now though as it's all online the techs don't see it so you may have to approcah Skoda Customer Svcs. It will be on the original plastic Key Tag if you have that.

From the Ross Tech guide -

[select]

[17 - Instruments]

Look at the first "Extra" field. The first 17-digit string is the VIN. The second 14-digit string in the Immo-ID.

---OR---

[select]

[17 - Instruments]

[Meas. Blocks - 08]

Select Block 081.

[Go!]

The first 17-digit string is the VIN. The second 14-digit string in the Immo-ID..
