Engine removal - hints and tips for PD100

Featured Replies

HI - one for the mechanics this one, but any help gladly received.

Tonight, Mate and myself will mostly be removing the TDI engine out of my wreck. :D

If anyone experienced with these engines could provide a decent step by step guide to disconnect what in what order etc etc. It'll be engine/box/ECU/loom and possibly the fuelling system including the tank.

Thanks in advance

 I think. :P The bloody thing is only hanging on by a thread anyway...

Angle grind all the bodywork off the front? :D

Serious about the bonnet though, makes access so much easier

There could be a change of plan with regards to engine removal - it could be totally the opposite - Take what I want out, and leave the engine in. :D

Or take it out and put it in the rear of the new one :D
