Not for Enduro rallies....

Cage is recommended, but not compulsery (spelling!?)

Whats you mate called? Did he rally a Trophy Felicia?

Etc etc!

aye - mark cowell. was a few years back like he did his.

i knows he done the skoda trophey down i bournmeth - ( kani spell)

I have an Ex trophy car, and i was just wondering his name as i have a fair bit of background on the championship etc...

Ill have to have a look.

You dont need a lot of stuff, its just getting the right stuff.

Let me know what your thinking of getting next then ill try and point you in the right direction.

TA!

And yes, standard on the outside. a 4lb lump of plastic that only works at 100mph isn't going to be much use to you when you need light weight & strength.

100mph!?

hehe

Id say your next addition should be.....

Brakes, as those standard lumps can be pushed hard...the trophy cars were only standard engines...and not even MPI on the early ones!

cool, cheers guys. probs start the whole buildin process after xmas, was thinkin an exhuast was next on me list a things to get.

  • Author

i was thinkin brakes, was lookin round here for a possible conversion, with the additon of mintex pads.

Ok...dont go big bore on me!

You need a grp N system, in mild steel.

If you can find one, and its hard now as i need one, a Janspeed one is the make the trophy cars ran.

I think OMP list one though...

My mate in CZ is looking for one for me so ill keep you updated on that.

cheers dude, u in mid build of a trophey car r ya?

Just bought one, it won the championship in 97.

As for brakes id stay standard size, but get mintex m1144 pads, and a good quality disc.

Thats all trophy was!

Some people dont realise how standard those cars were, but they held there ground well!

Right my bed is calling, ill be online tomorrow at work if you need any advice etc.

Cheers!

colio, cheers for the help dude, laters.

if you going shopping at butts, i would recommend a set of HP sports suspension. that makes the biggest difference.

  • Author

ye deff needin some a that, gave percy sum stick the past few weeks n ye he holds the road but not as much as id like

mate, you'll be blown away by the HP set.

i'll further the 'removal of the spoiler' cause - if not for the weight issue, then because it looks chavvy...

wheels are Perfect though, i love them.

had a felicia the same year and colour. lovely wee thing.

if it's rallying your intending on doing all the add-on exterior stuff is just a waste. you'll likely break it.

oh and ellri quality is right up there with Soundmax stereos and Tescos 11p baked beans.

i remember you sayin pinkskud u got ure set from butts, if u can remember- wat part number was it so i can look it up in the catalouge but.chhers

I'm in 2 minds about the spoiler; I think it would look better without, but the spoiler will probably reduce parasitic drag from any speed it stops rain falling on the back window from.

As for tuning, I'm another one who'd go with uprated brakes and suspension, and lightening, before touching the engine.

Its a must aint it Ken?

If you want cheap HP, ill ask my mate in CZ....

Depnds which kit you want....the fully adj. or the semi adj. ones which i had, and i think Pinkskud has...

I like the spoiler but unfortunately the wheels and green aren't to my taste :D

I like the green. Any reservations about the wheels are down to not likeing 5-spoke rims on 4-bolt hubs (well, ok I don't really seeing like any wheel that doesn't have a low natural multiple ratio between bolts and spokes).

cheers ken, as for the wheels, i aint complainin for £50 for all four.lol wouldnt mind some rear arches for it, give it the proper rally look. was looking at pics today of one that was for sale. even got in touch with theguy who sent me various amount of pics n realli want his felly.lol. 2.0ltr astra red top engine.looks awesmo

That car isnt too bad.

Its the one i have mentioned before.

Its the kit i can get too...

DONT DO IT THOUGH!!

You dont need a kit car kit if you want a rally look...

Especially if you want to do revivial etc..
