Re 1.9 tdi pd Amb 4x4.

We picked new Octy up at 8am central European time, and would you believe it sleet was falling as we left our home a little earlier. Skoda had brought car to a closer dealership, as here in Croatia even a new car has to have a MOT, but it lasts 2 years. So we now had 80km on clock, including the 7km it showed from customs area a few days earlier. Car did look good, as it should, not drab as was the case when it left the customs. All our little extras in place especially those to prevent our rather large black retriever from bounding over the new seats. In short ! wife got paperwork, jumped in, and I meekly followed in the old Nissan to a cafe bar, this is Europe after all. Plan was, I drive Octy home, read manual, and have a day to sample the delights of our new Octy. Wife's plan ( she has been driving a one year old company Elegant Octy estate for over 40000km already) to drive straight to her office in the city center of Zagreb. So its gone !!!! :(didn't even sit in it ha ha !!! never mind we are off to Belgrade on Sunday , so round trip we usually do 1000 km, and I will get to sample some of the new Octy's delights:). Wife did say it is quieter than the other, and steering seemed lighter, and she has borrowed a decent camera, so we might get some shots later.

As long as your missus doesnt change the body shape in the first 24 hours like mine did!

Car is now home, after a foggy night. Reading user manuals, over hot toddy, but still not sat in car yet.

At least it is still in orig shape. Even our dog is wondering if he will get to jump in the back, he knows its different, but will have to wait his turn.
