its the current Valve Hardware summary.. makes an interesting look!.. nice to see that AMD has a good market share :)

altho the number of Geforce 8800 series card also shows that gamers upgrade often, and spend alot of money when they do! - ill stick with my 7800gt lol

oh and before anyone accuses me of being a geek, i was actually looking to see what sound device is the popular choice at the moment.. now that Vista has done away with EAX support i was trying to find out what the deal is.. i have an (old) audigy 1 card that i use at the moment, which is pretty much "unsupported" by creative in vista. the drivers leave alot to be desired, so was just trying to see how "onboard" solutions have progressed... no doubt alot has changed since the days of AC97 :D

Interesting to know what other people have...

I personally (regarding sound) am using onboard sound on my Fatal1ty motherboard which is AC97 HD audio... have had absolutely no problems what so ever... just use it for games and listening to music and watching freeview tv through media centre.

Dont spose you know what chipset it is? my A8N SE mobo has a realtek ALC850.. altho im not sure its a HD one... ones ive seen that are HD are 7.1 and have different drivers

I'm one of 0.55% with a Radeon 2900 lol :D

Im one of the few lucky ones whose actually managed to get hold of an 8800GT :D

Im not sure to be honest... i cant find the detailed info for it anywhere.

It just says:

7.1 CH HD Audio CODEC

Supports Auto Jack Sensing and optical S/PDIF Out

But with digging around on the Realtek website i believe that its the ALC880 series... its the only one that seems the same as mine.
