Has anyone else experienced this little problemette?

Very occassionally (is that spelt right?) when I get out of the car the 'Lights On' buzzer will sound, even when the light switch is in the off position. Sure enough when checking one of the sidelights will be on. The only way to clear it is ignition on / ignition off.

It seems to occur only when i _haven't_ been using the lights but otherwise completely at random and not often enough to take back to the dealer.

Any ideas?

Check your indicator stalk. If it's in the "left" or "right" position when the ignition is switched off, it will light the sidelights on that side. IIRC it's for use as parking lights somewhere on the continent (Germany?). I'm pretty sure that the "lights on" warning will sound as well.

'tis a useful feature if you park somewhere dark and the car could be exposed to drivers who might not see it in time to avoid it...
