1.4 16v fabia egr valve

Featured Replies

Hi I need some help as I'm dealing with a fabia with the dreaded 1.4 16valve engine. It constanly comes up saying "EGR flow too high" It has had modified piston rings fitted and a new EGR valve and gaskets. The throttle body has been cleaned and the ECU is running the latest software version going. All pipework has be completely removed from the car and cleaned out but the fault code still comes back after a week or so. Any more suggestions on this would be great I've read through the other posts but found nothing that I've not all ready tried? The throttle body and EGR valve have been basic set to the car as well.

Please help with this one.

What a bummer! you've asked a question and all you've got so far is a "thank you" - things can only get better!

This is probably the exhaust gas sensor that is blocked with oil. this will cause all sorts of problems. Skoda have offered to fit mine free! There again I have had so much trouble over the last 3 years it is untrue.

Water in the wiring loom that goes to the ECU?, take back the plastic tube and the loom tape and check for moisture.
