My problem is ther power steering is fine under normal working conditions, but if you suddenly or quickly turn the wheel it becomes very very heavy, there is no warning light on the dash ( only on start up then goes out ) i have full fluid with no apperent leaks. any ideas??????

i think you'll need to give the forum more info , i.e. what vehicle, engine, age etc

its a skoda fabia 2001 Y reg 5 door estate 1.9 TDI comfort and its covered 140 K, everything else is spot on just that annoying PAS fault.

this sounds just like a faulty YAW angle sensor on the steering rack.

about £70 for the part ex with ur local skoda dealer.
