Hello From leaky Felicia

Featured Replies

Hello to all

I just found this group from a websearch.

We have had a bright green 98 Felicia 1.3 GLI sice april. Its been great so far but I just noticed the coolant level has dropped to just below the minimum and the front side of the engine block is wet but what with I can't tell.

What should I do? Can I just top it up and keep going?

Advice appreciated.

Hi and welcome!

For better chances of a quick reply, post your question in the Felicia forum - in this section it could be overlooked.

Hard to give you advice. Topping up is of course important, but to keep going... depends where on the engine block you find the water (if it's water). Could be a hose or tube leaking (not a big emergency until the leak gets bigger), could be the head gasket (which is worse). I would recommend a thorough check. With the engine idling, can you see coolant seeping out somewhere? If not, I myself would have consulted a garage. But there might be better advice from other members...

Hello and welcome. The garage option sounds good, unless you can see where it's coming from. Best of luck getting it back to full health and I hope it's nothing too serious.

Thanks for the advice. I will try the Felicia forum. I'm going to top up tonight.

I'd say check it out now!

I've got a radiator to replace, and a headgasket possibly as well.:thumbdwn:

Welcome :)
