how do the rs fog lights fit into the bumper?

Featured Replies

i got a pair, the garage wouldnt fi them apparently:confused:but im wondering if i can do it myself? also my tempreture read out reads -- at the moment. is that linked to the foglights too?:)

Are you talking about fitting Vrs fog lights to a Vrs bumper ?.If so the bumper has to come off completely to access the fog lights which are held in place by 2 x T20 screws and a spring clip per side. The external temperature sensor is also positioned near the n/s foglight and is obvious when removing the bumper. Does your car have the required wiring and switch ?

Use the forge FMIC fitting guide for bumper removal, fairly handy ;)

And your temperature sensor is next to one of the fog's, NSF i think, worth checking the wiring when your there

Hi All,

Sorry to hijack someone elses thread, but I felt it was better than start another Fabia vRS foglight thread...

I have a new foglight to fit to mine this weekend, and the Forge guide is very helpful - thanks for posting it. The question I have is, the first step in that guide suggests putting the car up on stands and removing the engine undertray. Is that a necessary step for bumper removal?

I'm not looking forward to step 4. I have a pathelogical hatred of plastic clips on cars - they always seem to cause me bother!

Thanks in advance.

You can do it without jacking it up but its a bit of a pain to get to some of the torx screws, I usually dont bother jacking it up

Thanks for that. I can get it jacked up ok.. do I need to take the engine tray off for bumper removal, or is that something that is specific to the Intercooler fitting?

Cheers

Sorry, Just noticed I didnt read your first question properly :S

You will just need to take the most forward torx screws out of the engine tray but you dont need to remove the full thing, just keep an eye when going back together as the tray has fingers that go over/under the bumper, as long as you take care its easy enough leaving the tray on

Superb, thanks very much for that, much appreciated.

Cheers
