Company car choice

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I thought you might be interested in my choice as a company car.

The company had provided me with a hand me down car from my predecessor, ('06 plate, top spec BMW 330d Estate) and although it was a lovely car, it cost a fortune to lease and I did not fancy the tax bill that went with it.

I convinced the company to let me chose my own car and agreed a more realistic OTR limit of £25k.

They stipulated that the car must be diesel, have at least 4 doors and have a factory hands free phone kit fitted within the price. I wanted an automatic and an estate with as many toys as possible but within a reasonable tax bracket. I also wanted something 'a little bit less common.'

I looked at Fords, Vauxhalls, Hondas, Citroens, Audis, Alfa Romeos, Volvos & BMWs before the car I eventually chose an Octavia, the spec is:

Octavia Estate Laurin & Klement 2.0 TDI PD 140bhp DSG

Light Leather seats

Anthracite Grey Metallic paint

Sat nav system with maxi-dot trip computer

Acoustic front and rear parking sensors

Electric sunroof

Chrome tailgate trim

This was the obvious choice in the end. No other manufacturer could offer the same spec and build quality for the price.

Once I had convinced both my wife and my company that Skodas are 'not what they used to be', the car was ordered.:)

Cheers,

Frank.

Thats a very well specced car. I'm jealous!

Hope you enjoy it - have you got a delivery date yet?

Good work! Enjoy!
