emoticons N95

Featured Replies

After living with se for four years i'm used to having emoticons on my phone, now i have an n95 i no longer have the ability to send smiley faces, what makes it worse is my friend has a bargain bucket sony ericsson and can send smiley faces, i have a 400 pound beast and cant recieve or send them grrrrrr:thumbdwn:

Any work arounds, from nokia to sony phones???

Does the Sony receiving not convert the :-) into a smiley face automatically? Should do?

All you're really missing out on is receiving them as images on your phone? They're not part of the SMS standard, so all processing should be done in-phone, so maybe someone has/will write a Symbian app that will mod it?

there are add-on applications to add stuff like that.. but at the end of the day they are just little pictures, doesnt change what gets sent/received.. just how they are displayed

Does that work on phones? Thought it was an MSN thing?

If I got (a) in a text message I'd think the sender was quite odd. And it seems unless I have a SE phone I'd only get (a).

Personally I'd stick to

:-(

People get those even when they're sideways ;)
