Just bought my first Skoda, a 2l 103kW Estate Octavia Ambiente. 14,000 miles on the clock. The ride is great and road holding is good but the topping up with oil all the time takes some getting used to after my Mondeo which never needed any oil between services.

I do about 25k miles per year. I like the engine growl as the revs climb and the boot is large enough for everything.

Welcome to the forum My hatchback Octy will take a huge load, so I can imagine the estate to be very big

Good choice of car better than a Mondeo imo (my timing belt went on my old Mondeo).

Is your car on fixed or variable servicing regime? I'm asking because I've seen a number of complaints in a car mag about heavy oil consumption on cars running variable.
