Clarification 0 - 60

Featured Replies

I know most of you wont have a standard vrs, but looking at the new jazzed up skoda co uk website, they have the Mk 1 vRS as 0 - 60 as 8.5 secs.

yet most things i have read say 7.9?

Not really a big issue for 99% of driving, just curious as to the correct answer!!

Any ideas?!

around 7seconds afaik really is down to if you can get it off the line well. i think ive read somewhere high 6's on unmodified cars but it is very much driver orientated.

About 10 seconds if I have to launch it :D

I pulled 6.7 seconds on a friends g-tech with apr stage 1 think it was about 7.6 without.

I once went out on a private road!! It had a slight incline so I tried my 0-120 mph.

0-60 7.43

0-100 18.09

0-120 27.84

This was done in a standard Octy vrs.

Was this by the clock though as that will be inacurate? 120mph on the clock will be less when measured correctly.

These figures were taken in my old vrs. I did once check my Speedo with a sat nav at 100mph on the tom tom.

My Speedo said 102ish.

Also the figures are only rough because they were done with a stopwatch.
