ON THE WAY TO WORK KERMIT THE FROG TOOK MY RIGHT MIRROR OUT (NEWPORT TO SILVERMINES ROAD) :mad: IS THE ELECTRIC MIRROR ON THE OCTY VRS THE SAME AS THE STANDARD OCTY'S? I WAS QUOTED AT LEAST €350 FROM THE DEALER ( F THAT ), SO ITS OFF TO THE BREAKERS YARD!

Ths main housing and motor is the same, some (if not all) of the vRS' have a blue tinted glass - I'm not sure about the others. I would give ebay a try, or a national parts search with someone like the parts gateway. Good luck.

if it helps I have just bought a new glass and plastic cover for mine and was releaved of about £90.00 from the dealer and that was without painting they said they could do that for anther £40.00 + vat. mine is off to the body shop to tidy up some other bits so the door mirror is being done at the same time

I guess these are not genuine skoda parts but seem good value looking at ebay prices for primed only mirrors.

Would I be able to tell the difference between the original and one of these? Is the paint match good?

the guy i spoke to said they were lucas and they could either spray it themselves or if i give them my reg number the bodyshop would spray it..i even asked if it was the blue tinted mirror and he said yes it is.........if you can hang on for a few days i should have mine by mid week poss i will have a look at it and let you know . i will also try and get some pics online for you to look

I've still got most of the lens intact and some outer shell as well so am not desparate. I would certainly be interested to hear what you think.

you can get the mirror glasses off ebay for around £30 posted, thats the heated and electric ones with the blue tint.
