Fabia TDI transmision clonk

Featured Replies

For 2 years my Fabia tdi estate made a clonk on drive/over-run - sounded like diff. backlash

Fiannly fixed by changing the drive shaft nuts from pressed steel to forged - I did not think it would work but it did.

Yep, it does... had ours done under warranty and I think it's a fairly known problem now!

I believe I have this problem too with my fabia tDi. I have taken out extended warranty and may be able to get it fixed. Can anyone provide more details?

Where are the bolts? Is it a design or a manufacturing defect? My car has does this from new and has only covered 20,000 miles in just over 3 years.
