very sad. lets hope someone takes up the mantle of his work.

I was fortunate to meet Paul a few years ago at the M4 demonstration against the mobile speed traps that Wiltshires cunstabluary had decided to place on the M4. He was a very genuine man who had time to chat to nearly everyone who had turned up. He was just an everyday guy like you and I and treated everyone the same. Yes he is definatley someone thats going to be thouroughly missed.

Lets all do one last thing for him and sign the petition he started on the downing st website Petition to: scrap speed cameras.

Having only recently (virtually) met and debated with Paul, it's such a shame that someone so passionate about Road Safety has been snatched away aged only 52. Thoughts are with Claire and his family.

Ted Clements (another passionate Road Safety campaigner) also died recently and he will also be missed.

Was he the older speaker at the HPC young drivers' day in the summer? He seemed genuine, interesting and sensible; if so, real shame.

Unfortunately it closed in June ---but I believe any contributions(especially financial) to their cause will not be refused.

The finest tribute to Paul would be the motoring public uniting to rid this country of the false road safety experts (and their danger cameras ) and returning road safety to those best equipped to do the job - trained and professional traffic police ,with driver education first and foremost.
