cruise control

Featured Replies

Dear all,

I own Skoda 1.8T 110kW with motor AGU and I'd like to install cruise control (tempomat).

Its skoda from 2000(model 2001), but it has not with electronic gas (drive by wire) :( .

The questions:

Is it possible to install tempomat for my skoda without drive by wire (electronic gas)?

If yes, how?

I know the drive by wire one is possible because the cruise is controlled by the ECU. Dont think it can be done with cable because something mechanical will be needed to control the throttle.

I think that you will need to find an aftermarket cruise control system which can be fitted to a cable throttle car. It is possible to get one fitted in the UK but that may not be much help to you.

I've already found the solution :D : See e.g.

http://shop.importdriver.com.au/store/products/item306.inetstore

It is tempomat AP-150 and it is used for a cars with cable throttle.

Now, I need to find a market with acceptable price. :thumbdwn:

I'd also appreciate If somebody has installed such tempomat.

Dear all,

I own Skoda 1.4mpi 50kw AQW and I'd like to install cruise control (tempomat).

Its skoda from 2001

The questions:

Is it possible to install tempomat for my skoda

Although I believe it is physically possible I don't think its advised on the lower power models such as the MPi.
