clutch repairers in Teesside

Featured Replies

My clutch pedal is currently sitting lower than my brake pedal....which reading historically on here that my clutch may have gone.

My local dealer (Derek Slack) quoted me £500-600 to repair.

Surely this is over priced????

Can anybody recommend a repairer in Teesside?.......i live in Stockton for the records

Cheers

No not as yet....i can still change gears and it's drivable.. so i'm still using the car. I'm only going by what the dealer told me......do you think it may be the spring that's failed......by the way it's a 03 reg 58k on the clock

If it's an 03 reg I assume that it is a MK I not a MK II Octavia.

If that is the case get them to check the Master cylinder behind the pedal as these can go sticky causing the clutch pedal to stick down.

If not, when I had a TDI 110 I was quoted £300 for clutch replacement by "Mr Clutch" using saches parts. The TDI clutches are usually more than the corresponding petrol parts so I'm sure you can do a lot better than £500 up North :)
