Reversed into a wall!

Featured Replies

I'm such a tit! I was parking up in work and there was a low wall which I didn't notice (stupid I know). Luckily I was reversing very slowly... there was a crunch and I thought:... well, I won't tell you what I thought! Damage report - corner of the rear bumper on the drivers' side is scraped to ****! Looks ugly as hell! I'll post a pic tomorrow and you knowledgable people can tell me whether I'm gonna need a new one or whether a decent body shop will be able to fill it(?) and re-paint. I'm so ****ed at my own stupidity!

Fill and blow over. I had a hole in the outer skin of mine where SWMBO reversed into a 4X4's bull bars and you'd never know it had ever happened.

Amazingly, in the cold light of day, it doesn't actually look that bad! I'm still annoyed though. Anyway - what are your thoughts? Can it be filled and painted and how much am I looking at about? The bumper is slightly gouged where it has struck the concrete...

A good body shop should be able to fix that without too much hassle IMHO.

Cheers mate - I know it doesn't look like much but when the rest of the car is more or less blemish free it's annoying as hell!

you may even find a good chips away person might be able to fix it.

That is easily fixable.

Have you actually gone through the paint?

If you don't mind, then a touch up stick a little bit of very fine wet wet and dry then some polishing would sort it......

Or just pay a body shop and get it spot on.

Yeah it's gone well through the paint. It's gouged the plastic - I'm a goddamn spoon!
