Yup mine does this and always has. Its perfectly normal.

Yep it's perfectly normal..... Think it's been covered in the past a few times...

only its usually noisier when the fuel tank is below halfway

Ok here is a question. Its normal for the squish noise when turning the key to light the glow plugs. Is it normal for a further squish in the cold weather when the key is turned to the next setting to start the motor???
