Anyone in/near Bristol with vagcom please? SOS

Featured Replies

Have been talking to someone from the Frenchay part of Brizzle who is in need of a vagcom scan to verify what I believe is a dodgy MAF.

It's on a 2004 skoda octavia 1.9. BJB engine code. If you can help out please let me know. The car can be driven, but this is only if forced to as apparently it does not drive well at all. :(

As you know mate -if you unplug the MAF sensor and it runs better - then it's a dodgy MAF sensor - in which case they have nothing to lose by trying to clean it (which may or may not work) before changing it. There's a couple of posts on here on how to clean it....

I tried to explain this on MSN, but he'd had the car about 48 hours, so I didn't want him to start rummaging around unplugging stuff in the engine bay. :D
