LCR splitter on

Featured Replies

Looks great! Thanks :-) How is the removal process on the rear badge?

its just stuck on.

i used a hot air gun, prised the badge off using a thin screwdriver (taking care not to touch the paint) scraped the sticky backing off using plenty tar and glue remover and polished it back up once finished.

Ive got the LCR splitter on mine, and ive done my Chrome grille surround black to match the car, really does set it off.

Welcome to the black VRS with splitters club!

Merry Xmas too, whats left of it...

Mines was easy peasy to come off, came off with my hands and the sticky backing just peeled off, guess i was lucky

yes i would love a black grille but any ive seen on here have that orange peel effect and i dont think it matches up with the normal paint on the bonnet:confused:

Mine matches, and aint orange peely?!

Did it myself too...with rattle cans.

Hmm wouldnt do it myself i would have to get a bodyshop to do, it was a black octavia that had the orange peel effect, would look ace with some black headlights but nowhere does them in UK spec:thumbdwn:

Im doing the small chrome surround inside mine black, like luke had on the jabba car.

The black vrs does help the splitter blend in. I've still got mine sitting in the shed as it stands out too much with the red which to me highlights the bad fit around where the bumper drops around the fog light areas.

I want that exact same look!!!! I've already got the splitter on, if you dont mind me asking, did you buy an altogether new grill or did you paint the chrome one black????

if you bought it where did you get, I would love 1 lol:)

ignore that post above guys, I never read the threads lol

did you have to rub down the grill to get rid of the chrome surface before painting it black?

interesting camera lens lol!!

did you get a new camera in the end? i think you should have another quick photo session :) that splitter looks like it was meant for the furby all along, nice inexpensive mod!

I took mine off very carefully, and took all the chrome off it first then plaggy primed it, and gave it a few coats of Black Magic, then laquered it a few times.....Voila!

defo need to do this but dnt think I've got the bottle to do it my self lol

Looking good mate, that reminds me to go and fit mine as it sits on my bed at the moment.

get her slammed, then we will be looking at a mighty fine black furby:thumbup:

That looks superb! I am starting to fancy those Octy rims !

What do you think about painting the splitter silver before fitting to a silver vRS bumper? Or does the black provide a nice clash on a silver bumper?

well in your case /\ i would say colour code it silver as you have silver alloys.

If you had antharcite alloys lets say the black of the splitter really compliments the antharcite alloys and black rubstrips.

like this, apologies to the owner please pm me if you want it removed

Well, the whole bumper is going to be resprayed anyway, so shall have to get my butt in gear and order a LCR splitter from my local seat garage. :)
