How much is my car worth?

Featured Replies

It's a year since I last looked at selling the car, and I'm glad I kept the old gal, but I'm now doing a lot more mileage a month and I think it's time to get a cheap diesel in it's place to free up some money for my outdoor activities.

Rough spec:

Skoda Octavia vRS 53 Plate in red

53k miles

Skoda service history until mid 2007 then Awesome GTI have done all the work on her.

Modifications:

Suspension KW 1's fitted at Awesome GTI( Sept 07 )

Neuspeed rear ARB fitted at Awesome GTI( Sept 07 )

Carbonio CAI ( June 06 )

Baileys DV 30 dump valve ( June 06)

ZeroSixty discs all rounds and Mintex Extreme Pads ( Sept 07 )

Jabba custom maps ( June 06 ) - 240bhp

Full Blueflame Exhaust system with 100cel cat. ( Apr 06 )

Cambelt and metal waterpump done around 6k miles ago by Awesome GTI

MOT untill 09/08

9 months tax

Always run on Shells finest.

Oil and filter changes with Pro S 5W-40.

4 x pirelli p zero

One owner before I purchased the car in March 06 from a Skoda dealer.

Car is in fairly good condition with one two inch scratch that's not very deep just by the Skoda badge on the back, and normal paint chips for car of this age and mileage, but no damage to bodywork. The mods on the car cost a fair whack to say the least and if someone is looking for a pretty sorted vRS this will be hard to beat, I know sadly that mods don't much effect the price though. Also no money was spared in maintaining the car, as Awesome GTI can testify :P

Edit:

The car will have just had a 10k service too.

Well as with all modded cars your market is very limited :(

If you look on E-bay/Pistonheads you will see how much they are NOT selling for

I would say around £6,500 but you may have a better chance to sell any of the upgrade parts and maybe px/swap for a diesel?

Advertise it on here and try Pistonheads and see how it goes

P.s first dibs on your Suspension KW 1's

Bump:

Any idea by now, as I'm moving soon and the car just seems to be a 'luxury' item.

Would be interested in swapping for a cheaper car, or possibly another vRS (cheaper ) Fabia to keep or a Octavia vRS in standard form that I would then sell on if someone wanted a car with all the mods done.

You should get around £1k for your mods, then your car would be standard.;)

At least you know the car you have now and not a standard one you might buy.

If you fancy selling the kw then give me a shout.;)

I think around £5.5k - £6k if you can find a buyer who wants a car that has been modded.
