Fabia's 2nd year service coming up

Featured Replies

My Fabia's 2nd year is due next month. The warranty will be expired at the same time. To all Skoda experts have you any ideas which part of car should I get checked under warranty? I think if any fault would turn up it could be fixed covered by warranty. The car in case is a Fabia 1.2 12V, mileage 4375mls(7000kms), it runs well but you never know. Thanks!

There's been a few threads on common Fabia problems so probably worth getting them to give those a once over to make sure they aren't a problem. If you're worried, have you considered taking out an extended warranty with them?

Aren't Skoda warranty's 3 years anyway? Mine was......04 plate where the original warranty expired last Jan.

The extended warranty after this does not cover water ingress (leaking door carriers) or glazing faults (rear screen coming unglued) so these would be good places to start. ;)

Thanks for replying Chris! I'm not sure there is any extended warranty available here in Hungary. But I'll check it out later on. My Fabia was made in 2006 & came with only 2 yrs warranty but Skoda offers 3 yr from 2007 on. That's why I'm not sure about it.

Have the Skoda wheel bearings checked they seem to go quite soon usually two weeks after warranty, they do not notice them until then

Extended warranty's are worthless

Nothing is covered except £50 towards ICE and door hinges, no glass or any moving parts, and must have a full service every 6k Miles to remain in warranty Yeah right

Well that is my lifetime warranty with
