Not as responsive as usual

Featured Replies

I've got a 2002 Octy vRS with REVO remap, until now the throttle has been very responsive and turbo kicking in straight away, but tonight I have been driving around and when you put your foot down it seems to take ages to respond and quite sluggish. Could anyone point me in the right direction with what this could be please?

Cheers, Gary.

Ambient temp is higher at the moment and i'v found that mine feels slightly less responsive today. Thats what i'v put it down too though.

To me it does sound Maf related but maf logs via vag-com would confirm this.

Thanks, I have noticed that the exhaust mid section is blowing slightly, could this be a possible cause for loss of responsiveness and power??

Certainly wont be helping. It will make it feel more laggy due to the loss of gases but all depends how bad its blowing.

Seems to be getting worse every day, is it worth me getting a decent exhaust fitted or should the standard vRS exhaust be able to cope with the remap?

Standard exhaust will be absolutely fine with a remap. I paid out for a Milltek and the noise is driving me nuts now. Everybody else that i asked abut them said they werent noisy but they bloody are lol.

Could it be related to you trying to use an SPS switch?
