Felicia Front Seats

Featured Replies

Hi there,

got a couple of problems with my front seats at the minute. On the driver's seat, it makes a loud 'thud' noise when you get in or out, leaning on the edge of it. Any suggestions what could be wrong? The driver's seat stays in position ok and doesn't move about, just this weird noise.

On the passenger's side, a few days ago a screw with an allen key head came out of the side and now the seat back is quite floppy, any ideas how to remove the plastic side cover to get the screw back in? Haynes didnt have the answer...

I guess in both cases taking the seats out would be the first step?

Cheers for any help....

err, yer take the seats out and have a general poke around. the seats are dead easy to take out, just two bolts at the back, and two at the rear.

if you find the problem, tell me!

Yea the seats are handy enough to take out, just the plastic cover at the side puzzling me, but will have a poke round in the next few days

so that's 4 at the back :D

hehe, happy new year, hic

I dont know about the plastic, but as to the sounds when leaning around in the seats i think it might be just worn. At least on audi there are plastic clips that the seats slide on. They are worn down broken or etc.

These plastic thingies didnt cost much last time i bought them so i would advice you to go to you skoda dealer and buy some. Take out the seat replace the old ones and hopefully it will be much better.

Happy new year =)

Well, took out the passenger seat today, comes out very easily, just 5 hex screws to take out and she lifts out. The next bit was not fun however. Eventually managed to pop the plastic side cover out with brute force, a vise grip and a hammer, stuck the screw back in and popped the plastic back on...
