Just wondering if any techs out there have come across wrecked tdi inj pumps after filling up with unleaded.Car wont fire not getting fuel.No faults with 5051, shut off valve works ok.Dont usually have probs once bled,flushed &filtered.Any ideas? :confused:

Just thought I'd update this.Injedction pump damaged by the petrol.

Ordered new one.Very expensive lesson!

How much unleaded did you put in?

I always thought you could get away with a small amount of petrol in with the diesel..especially in winter.

Was customers car.Half tank but I suspect the recovery firm tried to tow start vehicle which wrecked pump.Usually as soon as they realise what they have done or if the engine stalls no damage will occur.New pumps over 800 quid-ouch!
