Morning all!

My '04 vRS is due its 70k service in July...

Wondered if any of you guys or gals had taken your fabia v/RS's for this service...what they do and how much im looking at coughin up..

Should be ok finance wise as just had a bonus

The 70k service though is an interim one

Oil and Oil filter with the usual checks

Just check the brake fluid at the same time as that is due every 2 years

I phoned my local dealer and they said aswell

cambelt is due at 80k on my vRS subject to condition at 70k service (£300 all in for cambelt n tensioner change etc)

might be able to get that PS3 after all

Skoda have changed their policy now so it is 4 years/60k miles for the cambelt so I'd probably get that done sooner rather than later (you can buy the PS3 out of the money you save from not having to have the engine rebuilt )!

ah! they checked my cam at the 60k service and said it was ok..they will check it again after 20k (next being 80k) but id imagine they would check it at 70k! to be safe!

The only way to fully check it is to take the cover off, and if you've gone that far, you might as well change it. I wouldn't risk it, but up to you

I might take you up on this info chris...you cant gaurantee a profit related bonus each year so might do it whilst i got the cash!

Also you cant check a cam belt by looking at it!

The norm is every 60k or 4 years whatever comes first
