Are there any visual signs to identify a 2lr. (140 bhp) DSG L & K hatchback from the 1.9 version?

Yes, the TDI badge.

The 2.0 has a red I on the end, the 1.9 has a black I.

Unless the badge has been changed of course.

That's all I can think of too. The L&K gets a set of nice front wing badges too. No indication of a DSG gearbox though - I remember cars from years ago that had a badge on the back that said "automatic".

One sports a different engine code. But visually this involves popping the bonnet and having a good root around in the front of the engine.

Might be easier to lift the boot carpet and see the engine code on the little sticker that should be there.

The TDI badging is still the same AFAIK, I have the red I On the boot and mine is a 2007 MY08
