Octy II engine fault? HELP!

Featured Replies

Could someone help me diagnose a fault on my Octavia II 1.9 tdi BJB engine?

When warmed up with constant higher speed, looses power and smokes a lot for few seconds. Usualy only 2-3 sec. And does it only every couple of miles, usualy when overtaking. :(

vag com log showed MAF faulty. Changed that, but the fault is still there.

Does anybody know what is causing the fault or give me an advice on where to service it around Bristol?

Thanks!

Smoke or steam. Do you lose coolant or oil?

Mine had a power loss at 33000 miles and was smokie too.Skoda checked it and found a very clogged air filter but no fault codes but they changed the MAF too as they said it never usually shows fault codes for this.

Now all is ok again.

No, it is clearly diesel smoke.. I don't think there is a problem with the H/gaskit.

Must be sthing else. But thanks!
