I'm thinking of buying a scoda scout 4x4, not knowing much about them I'm just interested if there are any problems coming to light?

One othe thing, does anyone know if the new Octavia model due next year has a 4x4 in the range as this may de-value the one I buy.

Any info greatly recived.

Without knowing too much detail about the new Octavia next year - if it's just a face lift then obviously this won't effect the current value of used Octavia's, however if it's going to be a full blown replacement like the Superb is going to be soon (here) then quite possibly but not much imo.

I may have a suspect steering rack problem which is apparently quite common with the earlier models, however mine being on an 07 plate this is a little worrying, apart from that love it!

No way there will be a brand new Octy for several years yet. As Wilkopilko says, it will be the usual mid-life facelift (probably modifed grille and minor tweaks to bumpers).
