Going to modify the front bumper in preparation for a FMIC, and just wondered what mesh people had used?

Not sure whether to use black stainless steel or plastic, or where to get it from. Halfords seems expensive for what you get.

Oh, and I'm planning on getting a milotec upper grille too, not sure what the mesh is like on that but would prefer to keep it as similar as possible

I did get the Ripspeed mesh from Halfords for mine. Despite the chavvy name, the mesh is good quality, really solid, and would be a fit and forget mesh to put on the bumper if you're planning the opening up mod.

All of the large FMIC's need the bumper bar altering.

I am working with a company to make smaller FMIC's that will fit without bumper bar modification that will be suitable for power levels up to 300bhp with no increase in lag.

I know the ABD one doesn't so might consider that.

Get the Jabba FMIC, it's big and works really really well!!

If your planning on going Octy WRC style (like mine) you will need to modify the front crash beam otherwise it'll look stupid.

I did post some pics of my front bumper when I modified mine, so it might be worth doing a search.
