Standard CD player - problem

Featured Replies

I have started to notice my standard Fabia CD player is not ejecting the CD out like it should, it ejects out, but it just pokes out of the mouth of the CD player, making very hard to get CD's out.

Is this a common problem?

Has anyone heard of this problem before?

It's due another service in a 1000 miles, so i should get it sorted under warranty then, but thought I'd ask

Yes, I had this issue. I bought my 05 Vrs in December and 5 mins driving it off the forecourt I put my CD in. Played it nicely - but pressed eject and it would not let me have it back. However, drove the car the next day and it randomly came out. Have put a JVC stereo in there now - so much better!

I have read elsewhere that the standard Fabia stereo "keeps the cd's".

So what do you do when two CD's are stuck in there???

I pressed eject and nothing came out so I but another CD in. Now it wont spit out either of them so ive got two stuck in there. Im thinking of starting to have a prod around with a flat bit of metal but this seems a bit wrong.

I did the same thing as you with the one cd may get another cd out:D

The car ended up at the dealers who fished them out for me:thumbup:

I was told then that the cd player doesnt like poor copy cds and pirated cds that have a crappy paper cover on the disc

Not much help but

i would get shut of the standard head unit and replace it with something less crappy

I've only ever used CD-R's. (Only had the car a week mind)

I keep the genuine ones safely at home.;)

The only problem I have is that sometimes when I restart the car they play from the beginning at not where they were.

Not the end of the world, but they do all eject fine.

To get them out just thump the underneath of the cd player where you would maybe store cd cases it worked for me but I used a gearbox lock thing as well.

Or if you leave it for a bit it will maybe reset itself and come out.
