Fabia heater and water temp guage oddities

Featured Replies

I have a 2001 1.4 Fabia with an odd heating problem. Frequently, the heater doesn't blow hot or even warm and the water temperature guage stays at almost the minimum level constantly. This seems to be an electrical fault rather than anything else because often after turning the ignition off and back on, it then suddenly spring into life and both the heater and the guage work correctly.

Any ideas please? Water level is fine. I guess it's not the thermostat because of the fact that turning the ignition off/on often corrects the situation.

I would suggest you replace the engine coolant temperature sensor.

The is a 'how to' in the tech guides.
