Blumin dealerships!

:thumbdwn: When i asked my dealer what the clutch pedal was made of so i could order the correct dual controls, they said metal, can you check please? i asked, they go off, come back its defenatley metal so i order the dual controls for the metal pedal.

I collected my nice shinny new fab vRS, which is tops by the way :D on friday to await delivery of dual controls today. I came to fit them this afternoon, and what do i find, you guest it, a nylon cluch pedal. Unfortunatley for me, the 2 kits for the different pedals are totally different and i now have to wait untill wednesday for the replacment kit (at a massive cost to myself, not to mention loss of earnings etc)

Flippin bum donkey thingy etc!:mad::mad:

So why put up with it?. Go back to the dealer and advise them of the pedal material, and that you now need another kit instead of the one you ordered on their advise re the pedal. I would then enquire as to how they could make such a mistake seeing as how expert they are..and you of course are only a member of the public and know nothing. I would then ask them what they intend to do about refunding you for the kit you dont need, as again you were going on their specific advise.

It wouldnt suprise me if the prospect of loss of servicing work makes them wake up and sort you out.

ps..As someone who has VW/VW group vehicles for the last 20 years I have to say I havent had a car or van in the last 9 ish years that has had a metal clutch pedal.

Well, here lies the problem, the kit comes from a different place all together, nowt to do with da dealership. However, they have agreed to recoop all my postage costs.

Not that i am happy with this, as i am probably lossing another 3-4 days work at an ave of

Your damned right your allowed to be annoyed. Postage costs is nothing compared to the cost of the kit (I would imagine) plus the loss of your earnings. (I had realised the dealer wasnt the supplier of the kit...but they supplied the information which was crucial).

I would suggest you approach the service manager/sales manager and explain your situation. To my mind (coming from the service industry) the least they should offer you is a free service or 2.

Ahaaa! :D Who was it that confirmed it was a metal pedal, no other than the owner himself! Him be the one that offered to refund the postage.

I will be calling back as i was not in the right frame of mind to talk sensibly to him as all i wanted to do was insert something sideways in him, violently! :chairs:

I agree though, he will have to give me something more, 2 free services would be nice.

Welcome my fellow adi, there is now at least 3 of us, myself with a hybrid tdi/vrs and anotherbadname with a true vrs. Enjoy!!
