Skoda Steam Headunit in safe mode

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

My dads Ocatavia Vrs Mk 2 was in getting a new rev counter fitted. The battery was disconnected obviously for safety reasons. The problem is now the stream headunit is in safe mode, is there any quick fixes on how get it out of safe mode? or will it have to go back to the dealer?

Thanks in advance.

Andy

Back to the dealer I am afraid, its asking for the radio code and only the dealer will have that.

Thanks Mannyo,

I thought as much that the car will have to go back in, l'm going to say to my dad to ask the tech guy on how to put the code in manually (for future reference and also to order up the instruction manual for the stream as we didn't any anything with the car when we bought it)

thanks again sir

I will be hopefully at the end of the month be purchasing the autoleads conversion package for the Octavia Mk2 and be installing the Clarion WXZ468RMP 2-DIN 6-DISC CD/MP2/WMA RECEIVER with CeNET CONTROL. I've phoned all the major ICE stockists in Glasgow and they would have to order that item in for me. I just wish l could go into a shop and just buy one over the counter instead of having to wait and wait.
